NetBSD Games
Net BSD is a free, secure, and highly portable Unix-like Open Source operating system available for many platforms,
from large-scale server systems to powerful desktop systems to handheld and embedded devices.
NetBSD is a fork of the 386/BSD branch of the Berkley Software Distribution (or BSD) operating system. Net BSD is most
notable for it's wide number of ports, NetBSD can run on many different computer architectures available.
One of its biggest emphases is on security and as such its developers prefer to solve security problems outright
rather than hacking in a fix like some other projects. This allows for a stronger, more robust operating system.

Summary
This is a collection of most of the games from NetBSD-Current. Console based, these games are extremely
entertaining and are found on most UNIX machines throughout the world.
Among the classics are Tetris-BSD, Trek, Adventure, Wargames, Fortune and many other entertaining diversions.

One of the primary focuses of the NetBSD project has been to make the base OS highly portable. This has resulted in
Net BSD being ported to a large number of hardware platforms. NetBSD is also interoperable, implementing many standard
APIs and network protocols, and emulating many other systems' ABIs. Net BSD is distributed in three forms: formal
releases, maintenance branches, and NetBSD-current.

Formal releases are done periodically and include
well-tested binaries, source code, and installation tools. Maintenance branches usually provide bug and security fixes
and minor enhancements. NetBSD-current is a nightly distribution of the latest development sources, meant for people
who want the absolute latest software, and don't mind an occasional bug.
NetBSD has been ported to a large number of 32- and 64-bit architectures, from VAX minicomputers to Pocket PC PDAs.
The Net BSD motto is "Of course it runs NetBSD." As of 2007, Net BSD supports 54+ hardware platforms
(comprising around 17 different processor architectures). Although the Linux 2.6 kernel includes support for
more processor architectures, NetBSD supports more platforms than any single Linux distribution. The kernel and
userland for these platforms are all built from a central unified source-code tree managed by CVS. Currently,
unlike other kernels such as µClinux, the NetBSD kernel requires the presence of an MMU in any given target
architecture.
